Microgrids rely on power electronics to integrate distributed generation, manage energy storage, and balance loads. This three day short course taught by NC State faculty and industry professionals is intended for working professionals with backgrounds in engineering. The course will highlight advances in power conversion and provide an in depth look at microgrid design, component selection, protection schemes, primary and secondary control, energy management algorithms, and benefit-cost analyses.
